What is your name and job title?

My name is Felicia Johnson, and I’m a Management Analyst in the Workforce and Resource Management Branch in the Office of Management.

My favorite part of the job is knowing that I have a hand in recruiting highly skilled individuals that aid in preventing and curing mental illnesses.

How would you summarize what you do?

I offer advice, consultation, and services to recruit, attract, develop, and retain a high-performing workforce required to support the NIMH.

How did you come to NIMH?

A good friend referred me to an opening position.

3 ½ years

What makes you want to stay at NIMH?

The culture, the mission, and various opportunities for growth.

What is your favorite part of your job?

Knowing that I have a hand in recruiting highly skilled individuals that aid in preventing and curing mental illnesses. Knowing that my values align with the institute’s values gives me a sense of purpose.

What would you tell a friend if they were considering working here?

NIMH values its employees and upholds principles and morals that guide the employee and the institute in achieving mutual goals.

What’s one life lesson you’ve learned from your career?

Networking is a major key to success.

NIMH offers several opportunities for growth, allowing employees to explore various fields to find what fit’s them best.
